About the event

Join Beyond Choir for a one-day choral workshop at our Annual Summer Sing! This immersive, high-energy event is open to all experienced singers looking to challenge themselves in a collegiate-level rehearsal setting.

Participants should be comfortable reading sheet music and ready to dive into an engaging, workshop-style rehearsal led by Beyond Choir’s artistic team. Together, we’ll explore Brahms Ein deutsches Requiem! We will be focusing on vocal technique, musical interpretation, and ensemble singing—all in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This is a no-audition event, but singers should be prepared to rehearse efficiently and make music at a high level.

What to expect

Before the event:

  • After checkout, registered singers will be sent a link to a digital version of the score (sheet music).

  • Singers are encouraged to use an iPad or other digital display to support our Going Green initiative by going paperless when possible.

    • Popular score marking apps include ForScore.

    • Watch a short video about ForScore to see if you are interested in joining our professional musicians in using the app.

  • Physical loaner copies of the score may be requested at registration. Loaner copies will be handed out at check-in and must be returned at the end of the workshop.
