About the event
Beyond Choir Presents: Eternal Light: Palestrina & Faure
This concert pairs one of the most beloved works of the choral canon—Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem—with a celebration of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, marking the 500th anniversary of his birth. The project highlights Beyond Choir’s commitment to presenting diverse repertoire with historical and artistic depth. Singers will prepare both the lush Romantic harmonies of Fauré and the refined polyphony of Palestrina, requiring a balance of expressive lyricism and clarity of line. This concert experience is designed to elevate and inspire through contrasting choral traditions.
Ticketing Information for New and Returning Guests
Advance online orders are encouraged to expedite your arrival. Tickets may also be purchased at the door, subject to availability.
New patrons will need to create a free account with us before purchasing tickets online. Returning guests will simply be asked to log in prior to checkout.
After your order is placed, a digital version of your ticket — along with a receipt — will be emailed to you. On the day of the event, you can either present your digital ticket to the usher for scanning or bring a printed copy. If needed, our guest list will also be available at the door.

Parking Information
Parking is not included in the admission price.
Pease Auditorium Guest Lot (gated): Closest lot to the venue, just a short walk away. Event parking is $8 per vehicle, payable upon entry.
Overflow Parking: Available in the Pease A-1 lot (pay-by-text).
Additional Pay-by-Text Options: Green parking meters on College Place and the Peirce Lot also accept pay-by-text payment.
Accessible Parking: Handicap parking is located in the Pease Guest Lot.
Street Parking: Free City of Ypsilanti parking (grey meters) is available on Forest Ave and Cross Street near the venue on weekends.

⚠️ Important: Eastern Michigan University enforces permit-only parking across campus. Vehicles parked without the proper permit may receive a citation.
