Ryan Lanaken

A graduate of the University of Michigan in 2003, Ryan has spent over 20 years in all areas of the vocal music world. She runs her own private lesson studio, sings both professionally and recreationally, composes or arranges when needed, and conducts. As a soprano soloist, Ryan has won several awards and performed with Opera Memphis and the Germantown Symphony Orchestra. As a chorus member, she has performed at Carnegie Hall twice, and toured both Italy and Greece.

Ryan is looking forward to returning to Carnegie Hall for a 3rd time in June 2026 for her conducting debut. Ryan currently resides in Wixom, MI, with her husband and two dogs, Johnny and Isabelle. In her free time, she enjoys cooking delicious food and playing video and tabletop games, as well as spoiling her dogs and nieces and nephews.
