Carrie Deierlein
Carrie Deierlein is a lifelong Michigan resident and a pharmacist by profession. Her musical journey began with the trumpet, performing in her high school band and with The Flint Youth Symphony Orchestra. After graduation, Carrie discovered her love for choral singing as a member of the University of Michigan Women’s Glee Club. In 2005, she joined the UMS Choral Union under the direction of Jerry Blackstone, where she had the privilege of performing under renowned maestros such as John Adams and Leonard Slatkin. Over the years, Carrie has participated in a wide range of choral projects and ensembles, including the Washington International Chorus, Arbor Opera Theatre’s The Sound of Music, and the Ann Arbor Cantata Singers. Outside of choir, Carrie enjoys playing the piano and composing original pieces for the instrument.
