Carolyn Carrano

Alto, Resident Vocalist

BA Music Therapy, MM Music Education

Carolyn Carrano has taught in the Birmingham school district since 2015, where she conducts three high school choirs and four middle school choirs, vocal directs the high school musical and directs the middle school musical. Her students consistently participate in State Honors Choir and earn first division ratings at the MSVMA Choral Festival and Solo & Ensemble.


Carolyn holds a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from the University of Evansville and a master’s degree in music education from the University of Michigan. She is honored to conduct the SATB Choir and Chamber Choir at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp each summer. Carolyn served on the board of the American Choral Directors Association of Michigan from 2016 - 2025. She lives in Oxford, Michigan with her husband Giustino, Shackleton the Maine Coon and Marge the Beagle.
