Brandon pursued music studies at Rochester College, where he was part of their A Cappella Chorus. He sang bass in Autumn, a mixed voice a cappella group specializing in contemporary Christian music, which toured the Midwest United States. During high school, Brandon performed with the Metropolitan Detroit Youth Chorus, a group made up of high school students that traveled across Michigan and the United States. He also served as the Music Director at Romeo United Methodist for two seasons.
