Aaron Kempa

Aaron D. Kempa serves as Executive Director of Beyond Choir, where he provides strategic leadership, organizational management, and operational oversight in support of the organization's mission to connect communities through exceptional choral music. Since assuming the role in 2022, he has guided the organization through a period of significant growth, expanding artistic programming, strengthening governance, modernizing administrative systems, and cultivating partnerships that position Beyond Choir for long-term sustainability.

A Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP), Aaron combines expertise in nonprofit management with a passion for the performing arts. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Arts and Entertainment Management from Eastern Michigan University and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Franklin University with an emphasis in organizational leadership and management. His professional experience spans nonprofit administration, arts management, event operations, strategic planning, and organizational development.

In addition to his work with Beyond Choir, Aaron serves as Conference Center Operations Coordinator for Nationwide Children's Hospital, where he oversees one of Central Ohio's busiest healthcare conference facilities, supporting thousands of educational programs, meetings, and professional events each year. His background in operations, customer service, and process improvement informs his collaborative leadership style and commitment to organizational excellence.

Aaron believes that outstanding artistic organizations are built on thoughtful leadership, sound governance, and meaningful relationships. He is passionate about creating opportunities for singers of all backgrounds to engage in transformative musical experiences while ensuring that Beyond Choir remains a vibrant, innovative, and financially sustainable organization.

Under his leadership, Beyond Choir continues to expand its artistic reach through collaborations with nationally recognized musicians and ensembles, innovative educational initiatives, and performances that inspire audiences while fostering community connection.

Outside of his professional work, Aaron remains an advocate for arts accessibility, nonprofit leadership, and lifelong learning, believing that music has the power to enrich lives, strengthen communities, and create meaningful human connection.
